Reyada Center – the knowledge and empowerment arm of the General Authority for Awqaf – participated in the high-level international dialogue on the Waqf Excellence Index, held in Istanbul from May 11 to 13, 2026. The event was organized in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) through its office in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development (IICPSD), affiliated with the program. The event featured a presentation of the methodological framework of the Waqf Excellence Index as a tool for measuring institutional maturity in the endowment (waqf) sector and aligning its contributions with the Sustainable Development Goals. It also included dialogue sessions with the participation of endowment entities, academic institutions, and specialized international organizations. Dr. Bandar Alamer, Director General of Reyada Center, stated that this participation reflects the Center’s ongoing role in supporting the Authority’s knowledge and empowerment direction, as well as in developing products and tools that enhance the efficiency of the waqf sector. He added that it also strengthens the exchange of expertise with specialized international entities, highlights the Saudi experience in developing awqaf, and aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. This participation forms part of a broader strategic path through which the General Authority for Awqaf—represented by Reyada Center—aims to move from mere international presence to effective knowledge-driven impact. This is achieved by developing applicable indices, frameworks, and products, and by activating international partnerships to generate practical outcomes, including knowledge production, the development of measurement tools, capacity building, and fostering international dialogue on the future of waqf as an institutional model for development and sustainability. تقديم ملاحظاتك على BizChat
