Quba Mosque

Quba Mosque

Amidst the palm groves and in the heart of "Taibah Al-Tayyibah" (the beloved Madinah), Quba Mosque rises as a living testament to the early dawn of Islam and the unceasing pulse of Prophethood. It is the majestic edifice whose foundational bricks were laid by the honorable hands of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) upon his arrival in Madinah as an emigrant. He was joined by the noble Sahabah (Companions) -may Allah be pleased with them- in constructing the first mosque founded on Taqwa (Prayerfulness).

King Abdulaziz Sabeels (Public Water Fountains)

King Abdulaziz Sabeels (Public Water Fountains)

King Abdulaziz Sabeels (Public Water Fountains): Saudi Arabia's heritage is rich with prominent testaments to the generosity of its leaders and their dedication to serving pilgrims and visitors. Among the most notable are the "Sabeels" (public water fountains) established by King Abdulaziz Al Saud - may Allah rest his soul - on the road linking Makkah and Jeddah. At a time when pilgrims suffered from water scarcity during their travel, King Abdulaziz directed the construction of several Sabeels to serve as rest stations where visitors could hydrate on their way to the Holy Mosque.

Namirah Mosque

Namirah Mosque

Also known as the Mosque of Prophet Ibrahim Al-Khalil (peace be upon him), Namirah Mosque is one of the most prominent landmarks in the Holy Sites. Located in Arafat, it is where pilgrims stand on the Day of Arafah, and where the Dhuhr and Asr prayers are performed combined and shortened. Due to its religious and historical significance, the mosque received early attention from the state, with the Awqaf Department taking special care of it during the reign of King Abdulaziz.
